Youth Exchange
In 1996, the Sister Cities Association sponsored a student to visit Mansfield, Ohio, as part of its policy of encouraging cultural links between the two Mansfield's. Suzanne Kochanowski, a sixth form student at Brunts School, Mansfield, visited Mansfield, Ohio for three weeks in July 1996, staying with the Harrison family who hosted her. She had an excellent time whilst there, and her itinerary included a visit to Niagara Falls.
From July to December 2002, Thomas Scott, a student on a gap year between school and university, toured nine Mansfields in America and worked at a local newspaper in each town. He wrote a weekly column about his travels on his web site.
