This information on Port Mansfield comes from Rhona Pieczka, who visited the town during a tour of a couple of Mansfields in 2002:
"Port Mansfield is a small town, centred on sea fishing and a boat yard. Unable to find anyone to make contact with, we decided to eat in the best restaurant in town; in fact I think it was the only one. Above the door, a sign saying “in 1897 on this spot – nothing happened”. Nice to see they have a sense of humour. I presented the waitress a copy of our Mansfield Guide, published by CHAD, together with a Commemorative Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medallion."
Bill Pippen emailed us: "I have owned a house in Port Mansfield for about 10 years. I spend most of the fall, spring and early summer here fishing. Best sport fishing area on the Texas coast."
The town has an official web site.
